Kakimori is a unique stationery store that combines traditional calligraphy with the best Japanese crafts. There is a small series of spring holders to match the steel and brass nibs. Like this penholder made from Japanese cherry wood and finished with Urushi lacquer. A technique ("Fuki-urushi") was used in which the wood is impregnated with urushi varnish so that the fine grain of the wood can still be seen.
