The Weathercock House is the symbol of the Kitano-Cho district of Kobe. It was made from countless bright red bricks and was once built for a German merchant. Since then, the weathercock on the top of the roof has been the identifying feature, not only for the house itself, but for the entire district. The color of the Iijinkan ink is intended to reflect exactly this red.
