Montegrappa - Spymaster Duo

For the 60th anniversary of the James Bond films, Montegrappa is supplying a limited edition of a very special kind: the Spymaster Duo fountain pen. With a lot of love down to the smallest details, this fountain pen is a must for true James Bond fans!

Starting with the packaging, which is based on the Walther PPK travel case, through to the filling of the fountain pen. The fountain pen is a hand flatterer of the particularly large version: with 150g it has its own caliber. Without the cap he still weighs 76g.

Made of gray stainless steel and precious resin, it hides its first gadget in the rear shaft: if you turn it off, you will find a pair of cufflinks that are released with a special fastener. A dummy cap is included so that the fountain pen can also be used with tuxedos and cufflinks.

But what is absolutely special is its filling mechanism: it is a special kind of cartridge filler. Because it is filled with the supplied brass capsules, which are based on the 7.65mm cartridges of the famous Walther PPk. For these, Montegrappa has developed a completely new power-push hydraulic system to fill them: they are filled with ink under pressure with a kind of travel inkwell and then inserted.

The instructions and another notebook are enclosed in the form of the British passport. And the set comes with two inks: one black and one a flame red ink that was also mixed exclusively for this set.

The only thing missing is the martini!
