With the La Traditionale, Scribo begins a new series of strictly limited fountain pens. This special piece in an edition of 104 copies celebrates Modena - or more precisely the Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale.

Modena is the first city you reach from Bologna. It is known for various culinary delicacies such as homemade pasta to Parmiggiano Reggiano. But also the famous Aceto Balsamico. The finest vinegars mature in oak barrels for up to 25 years to develop their aroma. Then just a few drops are enough to refine a dish with the aromas. It is also called black gold.

The 3-star chef Massimo Bottura developed this fountain pen together with Scribo and is also allowed to "sign" it on the handle. He also wrote a small book about the connection between cooking and writing.

Each fountain pen is made from the oak wood of Aceto Balsamico barrels. The different colors of the wood grain show this. During processing, care was taken to ensure that the character of the oak was retained and could be felt. The metal elements such as the clip and handle are made of 925 silver. The clip is modeled on a drop of Aceto Balsamico.

The very elaborate box contains a glass of ink (90 ml) in dark brown and a very special droplet: a bottle of "Gold Capsule Extra-Old Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale".

We have the fountain pen with an 18K gold nib in M in stock. If a different spring strength is desired, we are welcome to request this from the manufacturer.
